OHP OBD2 Adapter for Tesla Model 3 & Y 2019-2020 and 2021 Refresh: Installation Guide

What you need:

1. Scan tool of your choosing. OBDLink LX is most recommended.
2. OHP adapter.
3. Flat head screw driver.
4. Prybars (plastic)

How to Power Down the Car:

1. Open the driver's window.
2. Open the rear door to access the rear seat.
3. Through the open window, lean in and access the LCD monitor screen. Careful not to touch the seat.
4. On the monitor, press the Vehicle icon menu button and select Safety and Security menu.
5. Press Power off and confirm.
8. Warning: Wait for 8 minutes for the car's power relay to disconnect.

Installation:

1. Find removable trim cover piece right behind the center console (behind the driver's seat).
2. Remove it by using prybars.
3. Using the flat head screwdriver, disengage the console connector.
4. Connect the OHP adapter's both ends (male and female) to the corresponding ends of console connector.
5. Fit the rest of the cable into the empty area.
5. Re-attach the trim cover and leave the adapter dongle outside.
6. Connect the Scan tool to the adapter dongle.
