How to Activate the Speed Limit Information (SLI) in your BMW with E-sys
The Speed Limit Information (SLI) is a handy feature that will display the speed limit of the road that you’re currently driving on the speedometer. In this post, we’ll show you how to activate this feature on your BMW using the E-sys software.
A Youtube video created by BimmerDoc explains in great detail how exactly the Speed Limit Information (SLI) works and how to activate it with E-sys. Check it out in the video below:
The Speed Limit Information (SLI) mainly works as an assistance system that provides the driver with the accurate and current road speed limit. It automatically displays the correct road speed on the speedometer to make sure that you are aware of the current speed limit. The system works using the KAFAS2 or KAFAS4 camera of your BMW, which will detect and read the road sign ahead and then smartly process it to display the correct speed limit figures. The Speed Limit Information also has a no-overtaking indicator, wherein it detects road signs with overtaking restrictions. The SLI feature is particularly useful in helping you avoid overspeeding tickets and fines.
