How to Update and Program the DME of Your BMW Using WinKFP

· · · Comments

Wanting to access and program your BMW's DME? This can be done using a BMW software called WinKFP.

A video guide created by Bmw Euro Tuning shows the steps on how to flash or update your DME using WinKFP. Check it out in the video below:

DME stands for Digital Motor Electronics. This is basically the management system of your BMW’s engine. The system controls the key aspects of your engine’s performance and operation. DME ensures that your engine is running at optimum reliability and maximum performance at the most efficient fuel consumption and emission. The system scans and analyzes the data that may affect the performance of your engine, such as vehicle speed, accelerator and throttle positions, coolant temperature, air density and temperature, air intake volume, engine speed, electrical power system, and many more.

The WinKP software, on the other hand, is a programming or flashing tool used for E-chassis BMWs. It’s mainly used to update vehicle modules,  program control modules, and diagnose car functions.

Special thanks to Bmw Euro Tuning for the video guide that he created. Please check out his channel here for more helpful videos.
