How to Reset the BMW Transport Mode Using the DIS Software

· · · 1 comment

Oftentimes, BWM owners unknowingly trigger the Transport Mode and restrict various functions in their vehicle. Many users find it hard to reset Transport Mode, but it can be reset using the DIS Software. We’ll show you the process on how to do it.

The Youtube channel Revive My Ride had created a comprehensive video on how to reset Transport Mode with the use of the DIS Software. Check it out on the video below.

You can accidentally trigger the BMW Transport Mode when you allow your battery to go flat. While Transport mode is on, a number of functions are disabled, such as the throttle response, interior lights, radio, aircon, sunroof, etc.

The Transport Mode is a setting originally designed to prevent the batteries from being drained during the transportation of the vehicle from the factory to the dealership. Normally, you can have the Transport Mode reset by visiting your local service dealership. You can also do it yourself by using the DIS software. The DIS software is a dealer-level BMW diagnostic software developed for BMW dealers that used the GT1 system. It is used to perform diagnostics, programming, coding, displaying live data, reading of modules and fault reads.

Special thanks to Revive My Ride for the comprehensive video guide. Please check out his Youtube channel for more of his useful videos.
